First of all this is not a real hotel, it does not have real rooms and it does not take real online bookings!
As hoteliers and hospitality owners are well aware, there is little substitute for hands on training and live learning whether it be front of house, kitchen or houskeeping. Full understanding only comes with doing the job and seeing how it works in practice.
So we thought that the same must be true for the online marketing of your hotel. It may be difficult to practice with your own property but not with ours!
The Celtic Links Demo Hotel has therefore been put together to develop an understanding of better practice all the way through the hotel's online marketing presence. Part practical, part tutorial we guess and we genuinely believe that if you follow some of the ideas through you will see improvements in your direct sales.
We have set up and will continue to develop different ideas and areas of the "hotel" website and integrate over the coming days and weeks anything new that comes along.
Integration of Facebook? Maximising your online reservations? The use of Blogs? Improving your SEO? Whatever area is raised we'll try and address it with real content.
The Celtic Links Hotel may not exist but its location does. Ayrshire. So while the rooms, the function suites, leisure facilities and special offers are not real the destiantion is and we will use real life, real time content and events to hopefully encourage you to make better use of your website as the core to your online marketing strategy.
